It started with an idea, an image in Claudet’s mind of the perfect piece. Something timeless yet modern, refined yet raw. Something she couldn’t find, so she set out to create it herself.
Inspired by natural elements and artifacts of ancient cultures, Claudet’s designs embrace contrasts. Organic forms meet clean lines, tradition meets modernity, playfulness meets restraint. Each piece is an echo of something familiar, reimagined for today.
Claudet first put pen to paper as a teenager, designing her own jewelry without rules or ambitions beyond making. At eighteen, a life-altering accident left her with chronic headaches, making the conventional path impossible. Her world slowed down while everything around her kept moving, but creativity found its way back. In the years that followed, she learned the craft by working alongside small goldsmiths in her hometown of Amsterdam, bringing her designs to life with her own hands.
Whenever her head allows it, she creates. Jewelry, objects, communities, photo books, handmade gifts for friends. Whatever takes form, she pours her full attention, care, and love into it. Creation is where her energy flows when it has nowhere else to go.
I am Claudet’s younger brother, Julius. In search of meaning and tired of the conventional, I decided to build Claudet, a space for these designs to exist in the world. Together, we shaped a brand rooted in craft, quality, and intention.
We believe in less, but better. In objects made to be worn and lived with, treasured and passed down. Each piece is handmade in Bali, where we work closely with skilled artisans and family-run workshops to ensure not just quality, but a connection between maker, wearer, and the world we inhabit.
